she wears her heart on her sleeve....
but don't we all?
kind of some thing i did as the start of my series where i take phrases from english vernacular ...literally... and make them into pictures. many more to come.
i know its hard to tell its a heart on her sleeve, but im working on burning to make it look more 3D....
wasn't going to submit it, but i said hey, might as well. its interesting.
intreresting concept. i think her skin color is off though....too greyish..maybe color balance it to a bit more yellow and magenta? ...you were probably going for a desaturated look on the rest of the piece besides the blood????...but i think it flattens her out instead of making her more sculptural.
unique composition....i also wish there was a light on the background/wall..it would separate her a little more, instead of making her blend into the shadows....
ok...now i am being picky...sorry. i like the overall idea.
Regardless that it doesn't look like a heart, I think the imagery still conveys that enough. What would be interesting would to see this done as a performance piece, complete with a nice little thud being played on a hidden somewhere. The model certainly seems drained.
I really really like the concept. What a cool idea to literally illustrate classic phrases, I wish I would have though of that! This is quite grotesque when you think about it, but somehow your model has this air of dignity about her that pulls it off. I'm not sure about the stairs in there... hmm. But yeah, very inspiring stuff.
Hmm ok, that works when you explain it... Must say I didn't quite get it from just looking at it. But anyways, I think this is a very cool idea all in all, and it's nice that there is all this depth to delve in further.
