full title: "conscience the confidante, elucescebat in existence"

yes (maggie) elucescebat is used here like browning did... meaning 'to shine forth'.

The personification of conscience - to listen and to act according to the person in your head. To not listen can cause the consequence of guilt; but to listen can cause it as well. A good conscience advises a decision that is best for you and your cause. In life, you are what you make of yourself in your alotted years, and a wise conscience will produce deeds that shine forth and make the most of what you are.

basically, it is conscience as a person. the story is subtle, but if you sit and think about it for a moment, it is the two steps of conscience - advising and deciding. yes her man has been horrible to her, and yes conscience wants her to end it, as it is what is best for her. As she decides to listen to that voice in her head, conscience consoles her and promises that everything will be alright. etc etc.

woosh. so yeah. ill be shooting alot soon and it will all be much more ....weird... than this. some of it medical, some of it hysterical. so expect some amusement.

Wonderful shots ... they look like they're out of a movie. I like the lighting in particular. It almost looks like the "conscience" is the one illuminating the scene. :)

i absolutely love these photos. i cannot believe someone finally personified the conscience in a photo...amazing work. ah, me...:faint:

i connect very well with this piece, the way reason holds you and reminds you what's really going on and tries to help you through your troubles.

I love the concept.

The present paints the past with gold. The past paints the present with lead.

Amazing concept and execution. The colors and the setting are magnificent. Chicago, huh? Let's collaborate sometime?

A well thought out shot. I like the message behind it a lot. I am not sure if I would have come up with quite that same idea just from the photograph, but I definitely would have come to some similar thought. A great piece to think about, thanks for sharing it. I look forward to the new shots, take care Marcy.

Regards,

Evan

...could work...

...i get thematically what you were after, but don't sense enough...acting?

...it doesn't look like the them was apparent before the fact, so much as after, and thus could be mistaken for a 'standard' lesbian lover shot...

...don't mean to be harsh at all, just know you have it in you to nail such a subject...

...i never met a girl i liked enough to give 12 sharp knives...
