this is Anton. Anton is the boy that maggie and i drag around to things like art museums and gallery openings. poor kid, right? haha.
This was incredibly spur of the moment... Mags was out of town and i couldn't think of anything better to do than watch SNL, so anton came over and watched it with me ... at the time i was actually preparing for a shoot of my sister so we did that one...then i said 'lemme write something on your face!' so I did and here it is.

basically, sometimes its fun to do things sporadically and last minute. esp when the boy looks like something from a roman coin. sometimes i do things for fun! ha ha ha.

ps, when was the last time any of you saw me do BW or shoot a boy? oh my.

I really love the depth to it, and the angle his head is turned is perfect! Beautiful angle you shot at....and he makes a wonderful model. :clap:

That is one of my favorite lines. I like the angle you've got him at, and the detail in the expressively narrowed eyes. You have a skill for capturing your subjects when they're really giving the camera a substantial something. The line ties into his carriage very well.

great quote. where do you go to get those anyway? before you answer "from my head/reading", i mean, what inspires you to decide to use a certain quote with a certain person?

The angle and layout of the picture would have made a nice portrait. The addition of the quote makes it uncnventional. The way the quote moves down his face and onto his chest has a good flow. The way the shirt is open,over the heart, like a pulled back curtain is wonderful. With the worrd lie printed over the heart it makes is look as if the lies are comming from there. Its a great piece and you owe the model a pizza or something for the pose lol

God's gift to portrait photographers is a mind that breathes inspiration from everything in life, and beautiful and willing models. You seem to be quite blessed with both judging by your photographs. It's nice to see you do some more black and white work, though I LOVE your work whether it be color or not. You never fail to have intriguing shots and beautiful models. Your model's eyes always catch my attention... do you specifically look for that? anyway, kudos, my friend... kudos.
